My girlfriend wonders where my jealousy issues come from.
Well, she's spent the last nine hours and counting hanging out with a straight male friend who she met while she was modeling nude. They are now hanging out in her bedroom, drinking, watching masturbation videos. From the way things sound, he'll be spending the night.
Mind you, when I go visit her next month, I won't be allowed in her room until her parents leave on vacation the day after I get there.

OccupyWallStreet, the police, and the slow erosion of your constitutional rights
Whether you agree with OccupyWallStreet or not, you should still have reason to be concerned with the way that the protesters are being treated. Nighttime raids by the cops, the use of excessive force, and the illegal seizure of property is becoming commonplace in cities across the country. Police action in cities like New York, Oakland and, last night, San Diego is becoming more and more violent, often (though not always, admittedly) unprovoked.
Looking at the stories coming out of these protests is increasingly reminding me of something that would come out of communist China, or the 1980s era USSR. Again, you may not agree with the protests, but if they take away our right to peaceably assemble, what's next? Free Press would likely be the next to go. You own guns? Not for much longer, because if we start allowing the government to take away even a single constitutional right like freedom of assembly, they won't stop there. Not to be overly dramatic, but bad mouthing the government in China can get you thrown in jail, or worse, and that's the direction that we seem to be marching in here in the U.S.
I plead with President Obama to step in and keep the cops in line. Yes, it isn't always the officers who start the violence, but it's happening...and if it keeps happening, things will get very violent, very quickly. Whether you are a 99%er, a 1%er, or somewhere in between, it's time to open your eyes and see that this was a country founded by the people, for the people and we, the people, need to stand for the rights of everyone.

My father died today

...and I never expected it to happen this soon. He was the one rock that I had in this turbulent ocean called life. The one that I could cling to when things got all crazy, and would bring me back to earth. He was the person that I would call and talk about my crazy exploits with, and he would regale me with his. He was, without a doubt, my best friend in the entire world. The man stepped up to the plate, when my mom took off and left us in the middle of the night one night when I was 5, and raised us with morality and conviction, even when we decided we didn't want it. If it weren't for my Dad, I wouldn't be half the man I am today, and all I can hope is that I become half the man that he was. I love you Dad. I wish I could say that to you in person, or over the phone. I hate that I haven't seen you in four years...and that the next time I do, you'll be inside a casket. I hate that, and I hate myself a little bit for it. Just know that you were the one true inspiration in my life. The one person that I strived to be. I love you, and I can't say that enough. I hope that you hear it, wherever you are.
